FLEXIBLE METALLIC AND PTFE HOSE.
	Flexible Metallic Hoses - The improved stainless steel annular corrugated hose from Tubest is now manufactured to the newly introduced European IS010380 Standard. This has been produced to standardise European requirements for design, manufacture and testing of stainless steel hoses.
	The standard guarantees equivalent mechanical performances of two types (Type 1 and Type 2) of the braided stainless steel hose assemblies, characterised by their respective dynamic bend radii. Hose assemblies manufactured from Tubest hose are guaranteed to give a 50,000 cycle life at the maximum dynamic working pressure and the minimum dynamic bend radius assuming that the hose assembly is installed correctly. This cycle life is affected by changes to either the pressure or the radius.
	Type 1 hose is defined as High Flexibility, Type 2 as Standard Flexibility. Both Parnor and Parrap conform to these requirements of Type 1 hose. Parrap improves on these requirements by 25%. Circuit Hydraulics Ltd hose assemblies are manufactured to Quality Control standards in accordance with BS5750 Pt2, ISO 9002 and EN29002 (Q09970) as assessed by the British Standards Institute. All assemblies are leak tested (air pressure under water) and Test and Material Certification is available.
	P.T.F.E. Smooth bore and convoluted bore - Manufactured from top quality (polytetrafluoroethlene) PTFE resin, giving a translucent appearance. The PTFE tube is reinforced with 1 or 2 high tensile wire braids. It works well in high ambient, fluid of gas media temperature (+260°C) and works equally well in cryogenic applications (-70°C). It is inert to practically all commercial chemicals, acids, alcohol's, coolants, elastomers, petroleum compounds, solvents, synthetic lubricants and hydraulic fluids but not suitable for molten alkali metals or halogens at elevated temperature. Suitable for the majority of applications where arduous flexing over an extended temperature range is necessitated. PTFE absorbs no moisture hot or cold, is rated for saturated steam to 250psi. It will not contaminate media being passed through the hose. PTFE is FDA approved for foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals, etc. A low coefficient of friction with anti-stick properties ensures a low pressure drop during service. PTFE hoses are easier to assemble, to handle and to install than rubber hoses and have comparable burst pressures.
